Due to the full allocation of financial resources designated for students and doctoral students' mobility under the Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programmes (BIP) in the currently implemented project KA131-HED-2025, we kindly inform you that the acceptance of applications under the Programme has been suspended. Information regarding the reopening of applications for the Programme will be announced in September 2026.
We kindly inform you that student and doctoral students' mobilities at the Jagiellonian University under the Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme (BIP), taking place between November 1, 2025 and September 30, 2026 (physical component), will be implemented within the KA131-HED-2025 project. Recruitment is ongoing and continues until the funds allocated to Jagiellonian University by the National Agency of the Erasmus+ Programme are exhausted.
Blended Intensive Programmes (BIPs) are short intensive programmes on selected scientific topics that use innovative teaching methods. BIPs are organized in cooperation between several (at least three) universities that are affiliated with the Erasmus+ programme.
BIPs consist of a virtual part (BIP participants from different universities participate together in online classes) and an in-person part (BIP participants from different universities meet at one of the universities for a minimum of 5 days for joint courses.) BIP programmes are offered to BA, MA and PhD students.
Qualification for the BIP Programme is carried out by individual JU units (e.g. Faculty, Institute, Doctoral School). Recruitment for the Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) is ongoing and will continue until the funds allocated to the Jagiellonian University by the National Agency of the Erasmus+ Programme are exhausted. The BIP qualification criteria and Rules for JU students are available here.
Before the mobility for BIP, the student is required to sign a financial contract at the Student Exchange Office (SEO). The contract specifies the amount of the scholarship. The signing of the financial contract takes place at the Student Exchange Office or in justified cases by correspondence. The participant will be informed of the date of signing of the contract by the SEO.
A set of three mandatory documents has to be submitted while signing the financial contract:
- Learning Agreement for Blended Intensive Programme - Before the Mobility section. Complete Part I of the document, i.e. Before the Mobility (Table A and Table B) and obtain the required signatures. In Table A, indicate the name of the BIP, the duration of the programme, and the ECTS credits. Table B indicates how the course will be recognized at the home unit (e.g. as an entry in the supplement/as course credit/as an additional course).
- Bank Details Form. The document must be completed on the computer, printed, and signed by hand. You must provide only one account number and confirm that it is in EURO. Please submit the document as a PDF file.
- BIP Statement. The student declares in it:
- having an EHIC card valid for the entire period of the Erasmus+ BIP mobility (applies only to Polish citizens). Having an EHIC card is optional for mobilities in countries that are not part of the EU and do not accept the EHIC card (e.g. Turkey).
having insurance: medical costs and accidents, which is valid for the entire period of stay in the country where Erasmus+ mobility will be carried out
registration of the trip on the Odyseusz portal (applies only to Polish citizens).
familiarizing yourself with the Erasmus+ Student Card - used mobility capital of the Erasmus+ Program (you are entitled to 12 months on the first, second and third cycle of studies or 24 months on long-cycle master's studies)
- the main language in which the exchange will be implemented.
- Please submit the document as a PDF file.
- having an EHIC card valid for the entire period of the Erasmus+ BIP mobility (applies only to Polish citizens). Having an EHIC card is optional for mobilities in countries that are not part of the EU and do not accept the EHIC card (e.g. Turkey).
- LANGUAGE SUPPORT - you can take the OLS language test on the EU Academy OLS platform in the language in which the mobility will be implemented. This test can be helpful if you do not have a certificate on the main language of your exchange. Once you have completed the test, you can download the certificate from the EU Academy OLS platform.
Instructions on how to do it can be found here: EU Academy How to create an EU Login and EU Academy OLS. It is not mandatory to carry out the test.

FUNDING FOR TRAVEL DAYS
Each participant in the Program will receive a flat rate for travel. The flat rate amount depends on the mode of travel and the distance from the departure point (by defoult the sending institution is Krakow) to the receiving institution. The distance is determined using the distance calculator available on the European Commission's website. Flat rate amounts are available here. Travel carried out in a low-emission way (e.g., by train, bus, carpooling) corresponds to the 'green travel' flat rate. In contrast, travel carried out in an emissions-generating way (e.g., by plane) corresponds to the 'standard travel' flat rate.
Additionally, after completing the mobility and submitting the required documentation, the participant may receive up to 6 funded travel days in the case of a low-emission trip ("green travel") or up to 2 funded travel days in the case of a high-emission trip ("standard travel"). The travel days cannot coincide with the days of mobility implementation at the host institution. After the exchange, the participant is required to submit a travel declaration of the completed journey along with the corresponding tickets.
RULES OF THE SCHOLARSHIP PAYMENT
The scholarship is paid in two instalments:
- The first instalment constitutes the entirety of the scholarship (including the "inclusion support for participants" supplement, if applicable, and the standard travel allowance) and is paid after signing the financial agreement at SEO.
- The second installment constitutes the allowance for funding travel days and the difference between the standard travel allowance and the "green travel" allowance (only in the case of travel using low-emission means of transport). The second installment is paid after returning to Poland and completing all formalities related to the settlement of mobility at SEO.
